Registering a trademark is the first step in protecting your brand name. After registering your trademark , you have to closely monitor regulatory and business environment to prevent:

  1. Possible attempts by others to register identical or similar trade marks &
  2. Possible attempts by others to infringe your trademark rights.

While the Registrar of Trademarks does have its own set of rules for approving trademarks, it is not enough to ensure that no similar or identical brand names are registered. We must actively take steps to oppose such attempts by filing written representation before the Register of Trademarks. Likewise any attempts by others to infringe your trademark rights should be prevented by initiating timely and appropriate legal remedies. These are all possible only through well devised plan of Trademark Watch.
